The Watchers Fell

Lyrics

Intro

horns, ancient drums

Before the great waters, before the great rain,
The ancient account tells of violence and pain.
The heavens bore witness, the Earth heard the cry,
As darkness was spreading beneath the wide sky.

Verse 1

low strings

The Book of the Watchers remembers their fall,
A covenant broken, rebellion's dark call.
Shemihazah gathered the watchers that swore,
And crossed the forbidden, demanding still more.
Azazel was named for the knowledge he taught,
The weapons of warfare and ruin they brought.
The earth filled with violence, the innocent cried,
While wisdom was twisted by arrogance and pride.

Pre-Chorus

brass rising

Knowledge without wisdom, power without grace,
Can leave only ashes where life had a place.
When strength has no mercy and greed takes the lead,
The weak bear the wounds of another one's greed.

Chorus

massive choir

THE WATCHERS FELL!
THE WARNINGS RANG!
THE EARTH GREW DARK AS THE HAMMERS CLANG!
THE MIGHTY ROSE, THE HELPLESS CRIED,
AND VIOLENCE SPREAD LIKE A RAGING TIDE!
BUT YAHWEH SEES WHAT THE PROUD CONCEAL,
THE HURT OF THE WEAK AND THE WOUNDS THAT ARE REAL!
LET THE ANCIENT WARNING THROUGH THE AGES TELL:
GREAT POWER WITHOUT WISDOM CAN LEAD TO A FALL!

Verse 2

pounding drums

The giants of legend brought terror and fear,
The cries of the suffering rose loud and clear.
The tale speaks of judgment, of chains and of rain,
Of a world overwhelmed by corruption and pain.
Yet ancient accounts must be read as they stand,
Their stories and symbols examined firsthand.
The warning remains through the passage of years:
When violence is worshipped, the innocent fear.

Bridge

solo choir

Who will defend those who cannot be heard?
Who will give justice its meaning and word?
Who will choose mercy when power is near?
Who will stand firm when the truth is not clear?

Final Chorus

full symphony

THE WATCHERS FELL!
THE WARNINGS RANG!
LET TRUTH RISE HIGHER THAN THE SWORD OR FANG!
LET WISDOM GUIDE POWER, LET MERCY PREVAIL,
LET THE VOICE OF THE RIGHTEOUS RISE OVER THE GALE!

Outro

cello

Remember the warning, remember the cost,
Remember the lives that corruption has lost.
Where power meets wisdom and justice is true,
A different tomorrow can rise into view.
