Lyrics
Intro
soft piano
Through kingdoms of sorrow, through ages of pain,
The struggle for truth rises time and again.
When anger divides us and jealousy grows,
The seed of destruction takes root where it sows.
Verse 1
acoustic guitar
The spirit of hatred is named in the scroll,
Its poison of bitterness darkens the soul.
The writings warn clearly of falsehood and pride,
Of choices that wound those who stand by our side.
But mercy is calling, and truth has a voice,
The future is shaped by the path that we choose.
No heart must surrender to yesterday's night,
The dawn brings a chance to return to the light.
Pre-Chorus
rising violins
Let wisdom be stronger than anger and fear,
Let justice and mercy be present and near.
Let courage awaken, let kindness increase,
Let truth be the pathway that leads us to peace!
Chorus
full orchestra
THE LIGHT SHALL REMAIN!
THE LIGHT SHALL REMAIN!
THROUGH THE THUNDER AND FIRE,
THROUGH THE WIND AND THE RAIN!
LET THE TRUTH RISE HIGH,
LET THE BROKEN RECLAIM
THE HOPE OF TOMORROW IN YAHWEH'S GREAT NAME!
RISE, ALL YOU PEOPLE!
LET THE HEAVENS RESOUND!
LET THE SONG OF REDEMPTION SHAKE THE GROUND!
THE NIGHT MAY BE LONG, BUT IT CANNOT REIGN,
FOR THE LIGHT OF YESHUA SHALL REMAIN!
Verse 2
duet
Where greed stole the bread from a neighbour in need,
Let justice replace the consuming of greed.
Where violence left families broken apart,
Let care for the wounded become our new start.
Where lies have divided, let honesty mend,
Where hatred has flourished, let prejudice end.
Let children inherit a world that is kind,
With wisdom in action and truth in the mind.
Bridge
piano to rising choir
Not every sorrow is darkness unseen,
Not every affliction means evil has been.
Show mercy to people whose struggles are real,
Give comfort and care, let the suffering heal.
Yahweh, grant wisdom to know what is true,
And courage to follow the good we should do.
Yeshua, teach mercy, let compassion increase,
And guide every heart toward justice and peace.
Epic Final Chorus
144 BPM
Final Refrain
key change
The light shall remain!
The light shall remain!
Through mercy and truth,
The light shall remain!
Outro
violin and piano
The storm has grown quiet, the morning is near,
The heart finds its courage, released from its fear.
And when all the thunder has faded away,
Let wisdom and kindness endure through the day.
